Product Support and Warranty Procedure

All of SSAI’s are products are protected by a product support program which we feel is one of the best in the industry. The warranty is applicable to those verified defects or failures that may become apparent within thirty-six (36) months after factory shipment. 

In the event a unit is found defective (fails Power On Self Test (POST)), SSAI provides exchange service via worldwide express delivery service. This service is provided free of charge for all in warranty units and at a modest cost for units past the warranty period/service time. A complete inventory is provided at the factory.

When contacting SSAI for service, the information on the Product Return Form will be required. The information is in regard to the unit, aircraft and owner.

Product Return Procedure

Complete the Product Return Form and return with the failed unit per the following procedure:

  1. Complete product name

  2. Complete part number with dash number of the unit.

  3. Serial number of the fault unit.

  4. Date of manufacture. Items 1 through 4 are on the unit's label.

  5. Aircraft type, serial number, registration number and country of registration.

  6. Aircraft owner.

  7. Reported compliant with faulty unit.

  8. Service requested: EXCHANGE or PURCHASE NEW UNIT

  9. Your information if you are not the aircraft owner.

  10. Shipping address to where the EXCHANGE/NEW unit is to be returned:

  11. Is unit IN WARRANTY? YES / NO

  13. Pack the failed unit in the original shipping container if available. If not, pack in a shipping box with at least 2 inches (5 cm) of protective shipping materials on all sides, ENCLOSE the Aircraft Systems Division (ASD) Return Form and send to:

  14.   SHIP INSURED via Domestic Mail, International Airmail or Express Service.

You will receive an acknowledgment from the factory of the receipt of your unit. The EXCHANGE/NEW unit will be sent within 5 (five) business days after the failure has been verified.
